COMP 1850, Assignment 1
This page illustrates a CSS technique not covered in the COMP 1850 curriculum.
CSS Multi background Tutorial
I found an online tutorial on the CSS Multi background property that shows how to layer multiple images on top of each other. Using CSS, it is possible to specify the position, size and repeats of the images. Size can be determined by pixels or keywords (cover or contain) which is useful when putting a background image in a container. I created a simple logo which is placed in the lower right hand corner of this section over the main background image, which was sized to cover the entire area.
After tinkering around with it, I found additional information on the w3schools CSS3 Backgrounds reference page. In the interests of meeting the all the technical requirements of this assigement, I am including a table here with the background properties I leaned more about through this tutorial:
|background||A shorthand property for setting all the background properties in one declaration|
|background-image||Specifies one or more background images for an element|
|background-size||Specifies the size of the background image(s)|
